Markus Kaiser's practice focuses on all aspects of intellectual property law, including licensing, litigation and transactional IP. He also advises clients in matters of unfair competition, data protection and contract law. He has experience, and advises clients, e.g. in the lifescience sector, in the fields of sports, media and entertainment as well as in the IT industry.
Markus Kaiser has graduated from the University of St. Gallen in 2001 and was admitted to the bar in 2003. In 2005, he completed his postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge (LL.M.). Before joining CMS, Markus Kaiser has been working in a smaller law firm and has been a member of the IP/IT practice group of Homburger AG, Attorneys-at-law. In his role as Inhouse Counsel for SWISSPERFORM, the Swiss society for related rights of artists, producers and broadcasters, he gained additional experience in the arts and entertainment sector.
