Dr Simon Gabriel is a member of the dispute resolution team of CMS von Erlach Henrici Ltd. He specializes in international arbitration and has participated in numerous arbitration proceedings as sole arbitrator, counsel and administrative secretary (Swiss Rules, ICC Rules, DIS Rules, SCC Rules and ad hoc). Simon Gabriel also acts as counsel for parties in state court litigations.
Simon Gabriel studied law at the Universities of Berne (Switzerland) and British Columbia, Vancouver (Canada) and graduated from University of Berne in 2002. After a traineeship as attorney trainee and as court clerk in Berne he was admitted to the bar in 2004.
From 2004 to 2007 Simon Gabriel worked as legal research and teaching assistant for Prof. Dr. Daniel Girsberger at University of Lucerne with focus on dispute resolution and particularly international arbitration. In 2008 Dr. Simon Gabriel promoted at the University of Lucerne and his doctoral thesis has been published in the well known Swiss PhD-series ASR. In 2007 Simon Gabriel joined our company as an associate.
