Dr Stefan Gerster, LL.M., MRICS

Dr Stefan Gerster's work covers the fields of employment law, general contract law, corporate transactions and commercial properties for Swiss and international institutional clients.

He authored the Swiss chapter of (i) the international Kluwer law handbook on International Employee Equity Plans and (ii) the international Tottel publishing handbook Cross-Border Transfers and Redundancies.

Stefan Gerster was appointed liquidator of the Swiss company Transplan AG in Liquidation (former facility management company, a joint venture of Credit Suisse and UBS AG). Stefan Gerster is a member of the Zurich Bar Association's Special Area Group Employment. Also, Stefan Gerster has for many years been the head of HR of CMS von Erlach Henrici Ltd.

Stefan Gerster has graduated magna cum laude from the University of Zurich (Switzerland) in 1991; for his thesis "The Escrow Agreement under Swiss Contract Law" he has been awarded with the Walther Hug-Prize. Stefan Gerster joined CMS von Erlach Henrici Ltd in 1991 as trainee, 1993 he has been admitted to the Zurich bar. In 1996 he completed post-graduated studies at the University of Miami with the LL.M. diploma; thereafter, he worked as a foreign associate in a major US law firm. He is a partner of our company since 2001.
