Dr Stephan Werlen focuses on corporate and capital market transactions, banking and stock exchange law, corporate law, corporate and acquisition finance, merger & acquisitions, corporate restructuring as well as general contract law. He is an officially admitted representative of listed companies at the SIX Swiss Exchange.
Stephan Werlen graduated magna cum laude from the University of Zurich (Switzerland) in 1997. Thereafter, he worked at the District Court of Zurich and wrote his thesis on the legal position of the target company in takeover transactions (Die Rechtsstellung der Zielgesellschaft im Übernahmekampf, Schweizer Schriften zum Bankrecht, Bd. 64, Zürich 2001). He has been admitted to the Swiss bar in 2000 and holds an LL.M. degree of the University of Chicago Law School (2003). He joined CMS von Erlach Henrici Ltd in 2003 and became a partner in 2009. |
